The following rates apply to household, business and commercial relocating services:
Description of services:
Loading appliances, furniture, miscellaneous items, prepacked boxes and containers of all types:
Hourly charges:
$85.00

Time starting when truck leaves the terminal.
All jobs are calculated in quarter hour intervals.
This & That Movers,LLC does not pack, box, stuff or package items for customers
into any box or container of any kind
and are not responsible for prepacked items broken damaged or missing before,
during or after loading, transit or unloading.
The following rates apply to customer's truck, rental truck and storage unit and portable storage unit loading and or unloading services:
When we load or unload a customer's truck,rental truck or storage unit we charge
an hourly rate of:

Time starts at time of arrival unless the job location is outside
of the Huntsville,AL. city limits in which a $1.25 per mile is charged for each additional mile to the job location as stated by the customer.
All jobs are calculated in quarter hour intervals.
This & That Movers,LLC is not responsible for any items damaged, broken
or missing before, during or after loading or unloading
into or out of a customer's vehicle, rental unit or truck, permanent and portable storage units.
Long distance moves translated as moves going over 150 miles outside the Huntsville,AL. city limits
there is an additional travel charge per mile of:

The per mile charge is in addition to the hourly rate charged for loading and or unloading, but the hourly rate is not charged during the drive time while in transport.
Driving a customer's rental truck:
If we are not loading or unloading the truck we charge a per mile charge of:

Collections
Payment in full or partial payment may be required prior to a long distance move.
In the event that a customer chooses to deny immediate payment at the time of job completion there will be an additional charge of $49.00
If This & That Movers,LLC has to file litigation, submit a customer's amount due to a collection agency or file suit against a customer for payment additional charges will be added as deemed reasonable by a court of law or the collection agency.
This & That Movers,LLC charges a $49.00 fee for a check written against an insufficiently funded bank account and we consider this unlawful and charges may be filed if we are not able to collect payment in full within 10 days of the date written on the check.
If a customer pays with a credit card payment and the customer stops the payment or uses any means to block the payment there will be an additional $49.00 charge applied and we also consider this a criminal act of "Theft of services" and criminal charges can be filed immediately or at some other time we decide at our discretion.
In such an event we will make 3 attempts to contact a customer to resolve this issue, but the attempts to contact a customer has or contains no implication or agreement neither influences the time in which we may choose to collect or file criminal charges immediately.
Section 4
The following Bulky Article rates will apply:
Additional $1.25 per mile will be incurred if pickup or delivery
is outside of the Huntsville,AL. city limits.
Spinet piano- 0-1 floors, origination/ destination combined- $150.00
Upright piano- 0-1 floors, origination/ destination combined- $250.00
Each additional floor or each turn on any staircase for either type adds $50.00 to total charge, for local deliveries. We reserve the right to refuse a piano move if we deem the move unsafe for any reason.
Player pianos, baby grand pianos, organs, no flights of steps- $250
We reserve the right to refuse a larger piano if steps are involved. Instead, we
will refer the customer to a qualified piano mover.
Big screen television- less than 48" diagonal- no additional charge
Big screen television- greater than 48" diagonal, 1 floor of steps- $85.00
Big screen television- greater than 48" diagonal, more than 1 floor of steps-
$100.00
Safe- less than 200 pounds- no additional charge
Safe- 200-400 pounds- $200.00
Safe- greater than 400 pounds- $350.00
We reserve the right to refuse the moving of a safe if we deem it unsafe.
Pool table- non-slate- no charge
Pool table- slate, 3 pieces only, disassembled- $200.00
We do not move single piece slate tables.
Exercise equipment/ treadmill- we do not charge extra for moving exercise
equipment. However, home gyms must be disassembled prior to move. If not,
we reserve the right to refuse that piece. WE DO NOT ASSEMBLE HOME GYMS OR EQUIPMENT.
Other bulky items - greater than 500 pounds; The Company may refuse to move
these items if we deem it unsafe to move. Or if there are terrain issues that may cause us to feel it is unsafe to move said item.
All moves involving large bulky items over 200 pounds as mentioned above require a minimum
of 3 men and could possibly require additional men.
Drive time calculations:
Drive time is calculated at our established hourly rate from terminal departure
until return to terminal.

All jobs are charged in quarter hour increments over and above the minimum hours
plus any out of city per mile charges incurred and listed in this tariff.
Hourly rates apply from the time the teams/trucks leave terminal until they
return to terminal.
Section 6
Moving into a storage unit? May we suggest.,
BEDS:
Waterbed - Please make sure your mattress is completely
drained for extended storage. Contact your Waterbed
Supplier for details.
Mattress - Store mattresses and springs in mattress bags or
in mattress boxes. Do not place directly on the floor or lean
on walls. Always store on edge. Storing the mattress flat
can cause them to lose their shape or become 'lumpy".
This & That Movers,LLC is not responsible for items
packaged,boxed or wrapped in any material or container by customer
or someone employed,helped or hired by the customer.
CLOTHING:
Use wardrobe boxes for storing hanging clothes. Store all
folded clothes in boxes. Place a layer of paper between each
fold to prevent permanent creases.
FURNITURE:
Spray furniture with good polish. Do not use plastic to cover
furniture as this can cause mildew. Use old blankets and
sheets. Paper pads work well and are available through our
box store. This will allow furniture to "breathe".
INFLAMMABLES:
Do not store any explosives, ammunition, dangerous chemi-
cals, inflammables, paint or oily rags. When storing an auto,
boat, or motorcycle in a storage unit, always drain the gas
tank. Loosely place a gas cap on the tank so it can "breathe".
This & That Movers,LLC. will not be responsible for any damages
incurred directly or indirectly as a result of improperly or non drained tanks,equipment,
containers or other items containing fluids of any kind even if item is marked or posted.
We ask that you drain all items of any and all fluids.
MIRRORS/PICTURES:
Store in mirror boxes. Store on edge, not flat.
REFRIGERATORS/FREEZERS:
Empty and unplug appliances. Clean thoroughly with a
solution of 1 cup baking soda to 1 gallon water. Let. stand
open for 24 hours to dry. After placing in storage, line all
shelves with newspaper. To absorb odors, place charcoal
briquettes on paper inside the appliances. Place electric cord
over top of appliance so it will hang down and keep door from
closing completely. This will prevent mildew and odor.
STOVES:
Unplug or arrange to have removed from gas supply.
Remove all loose parts (burners, broil pan, shelves) and clean
with baking soda solution. Allow loose parts to dry for 24
hours. Wrap each piece in newspaper and pack in box.
Mark box carefully.
VALUABLES:
Generally, we don't advise storing valuables in a storage unit
for security reasons. But if you must, place valuable items lo
the rear of the storage unit. Mislabel boxes (as a security
measure), I.e.: for silver, label could read: "kid's toys''. It is
not advisable to store pianos, fine art objects etc. for
extended, periods in an uncontrolled climate, such as an
outdoor self storage.
WASHER/DRYERS:
Make sure washer pump assembly is completely drained.
Contact Appliance Service Center tor instructions on your
model.
IN GENERAL,
To help eliminate the possibility of bugs, mice or other
critters, do not place human or pet food in the storage unit.
Place moth balls along the inside walls and door of your
storage unit while moving in and add more every two or three
months. Keep all items off the floor if possible to allow air
flow. Use pallets whenever possible. Place plastic under all
boxes. Seal all boxes with packing tape, To retard rusting of
exposed metal, apply a. light coat of oil. Be sure to use a
good, strong, reliable lock to secure your unit. In any storage
facility, you have the responsibility of being covered by
insurance.
This & That Movers,LLC is not responsible for
your belongings while in storage or any items once we leave the premises.
We are movers.We are not plumbers,carpenters or electricians.
We are willing to assist you in disassembling your beds or other items.
We are also willing to unhook or hook up your appliances (accept gas appliances), but This & That Movers,LLC will only do so if the customer agrees not to hold This & That Movers,LLC or any of it's officers,employees or insurance policies or insurers liable for any damages resulting from water,heat,cooling,electricity,light,dark,hot or cold,fire or mold.
We recommend you (the customer) uninstall and reinstall your appliances
or
Appoint a licensed professional to do so if you feel the need for liability.
It is Federal law for all moving companies licensed in the State Of Alabama to offer Mediation or Arbitration as a means of settling any disputes between the moving company and the customer. We offer it because we are honest. We value our reputation and our relationship with our customers.Should a customer ever feel the need to dispute This & That Movers,LLC offers Arbitration as the primary means of settling any disputes that may arise between you (the customer) and This & That Movers,LLC or any of it's officers or employees.
Section 7
This & That Movers, LLC is not responsible for damages incurred to items
made of pressed wood or particle board or other woods that contain particles that are
glued together. These often are easily breakable and one can not always judge the condition of these items upon simple assumption or visual inspection.
We are not responsible or liable for the "sentimental value" of any item.
Any item the customer is compensated for including shipping & handling, parts and labor for residential or commercial establishments
and items such as furniture and other belongings will only be compensated
at the depreciated value and not to exceed $.60 per pound. If you feel the need for additional insurance you may purchase your own insurance policy to cover any additional amount of coverage at your own discretion.Sentimental value is not a factor during replacement or compensation.
Any amount of compensation made by This & That Movers, LLC for any
damaged or missing items, personal injury to anyone on the customer premises
or damage to any property or real estate of customer will not exceed $.60 per pound or the total amount charged for the entire move because this is all our insurance policies will cover.
Should This & That Movers, LLC compensate a customer for missing or damaged items it is not neccessarily an admission of guilt or responsibility.
Section 8
Loading and unloading services:
We offer loading and unloading services to our customers meaning we will load or unload your
portable storage container, rental truck or trucks or moving trailer or other moving trucks, trailers or storage containers belonging to someone else.
This & That Movers, LLC is not responsible for
any items broken, missing or damaged in any way due to the fact that we neither loaded
the truck ourselves or that we didn't unload the truck we loaded and were not present ourselves
to witness the performance of the driver or the other loading or unloading crew.
In otherwords we are not responsible for any damages that happen to your belongings as a result
of movement, shaking, bumping, speed, stopping, going, leaning or hills and other terrain.
If we are not the drivers transporting your goods then you are not
to hold This & That Movers, LLC responsible for any damages or missing items discovered at the destination.Once we load a storage container, rental truck or trucks, moving trailer belonging to anyone other than This & That Movers, LLC we are not responsible or liable for the items we loaded once we leave the premises. We will only accept responsibility for damages done while loading the truck such as while removing the origin and putting them into the truck, trailer or container while we are present.
You are responsible for providing the needed amount and needed space required to pack the
amount of items you need loaded, the proper type of blankets or other padding, loadlocks, etrack straps, tarps,and other loading equipment for jobs in which we are to load for you and you or another party drive away or another party other than This & That Movers, LLC unloads.
Section 9
We reserve the right to not service a customer for any reason we choose.
If the safety of any person working for or employed by This & That Movers,LLC is deemed unsafe, or if any member of our staff feels uncomfortable, unsafe or threatened in any way by either the environment,a second party, or the customer or someone on or at the customer's premises or any place in between be it verbal,sexual,emotional,mental,physical or any other means, then we reserve the right to remove ourselves from the situation immediately and the customer will be charged the hourly rate from the time we left the terminal to that time in which the rep or employee or other team member leaves the premises.
You will be given the opportunity to investigate, inspect and make account of any and all items at the completion of the job.
At no time will anyone working for This & That Movers,LLC open a box a customer has sealed. Even if a customer request that we open it we can not and will not. Any boxed sealed by a customer MUST be opened by the customer or another party of the customer's choosing who is not an officer or employee of This & That Movers,LLC.
This form is publicly published on our Website and our website URL is posted on our business cards. This is the policies and price rates of our company made public for all to view freely so it is the customer's responsibility to read our policies in it's entirety and ask any questions regarding our policies. A customer is bound to adhere to our policies by accepting our services and compensating us for those services. We always arrive in pairs or more so there will be more than one witness that you will be given a copy of these policies or directed to our website where a link to our tariff can be viewed.
